Battle Pass and Seasons to come to Sea of Thieves

Should you play Neverwinter in 2021?

Rare Studios officially confirmed that they will bring Seasons to Sea of Thieves, which will include a Battle Pass style progression system. Sea of Thieves receives regular updates since its release in 2018, but it seems that rare plans to continue to give fans a reason to connect through the next generation of Xbox. Sea of Thieves is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC and via the extensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Rare Studios will make its debut with the new seasons model in January, with a new type of trip for the Merchant Commercial Company Alliance that is part of the novelties joining Sea of Thieves season 1. This trip apparently makes players from the detectives that must gather Indices on the seven seas to locate a lost wreck and expedition similar to the event that has inaugurated the infamous megaladon. Rare Studios recently confirmed that they would continue to improve Sea of Thieves throughout 2021, but it seems to improve the pirate simulation experience with seasons and combat passes.

Sea of Thieves fans can apparently expect to see the seasons last about three months, each season offering 100 levels of progression through the Battle Pass. The new content will remain free and Rare Studios does not intend to delete content with new additions, but simply to provide additional content to Sea of Thieves players. The seasons and the coming combat passes at Sea of Thieves will offer unique rewards to encourage fans to continue to come back to the game.

In addition to the free combat passes at Sea of Thieves, there is also a premium pass known as Plinder Pass, which apparently will unlock discounts on existing articles in the Premium Pirate Emporium store.
