Rules of Survival New Update

Frostpunk, the survival game of 11 bit Studios, will officially get a direct sequence called Frostpunk 2. Co-Director Jakub Stokalski, revealed that the objectives of the next game will concern what will happen when the world will actually survive the insurvivable in as long as "society as a whole. »

As mentioned in Frostpunk 2 trailer, "players are again responsible for playing the leadership role of an eager metropolis of resources where the expansion and the search for new sources of energy are an inevitable reality,"

Frostpunk 2 will take place three decades after the mortal blizzard arrived at the end of the first opus campaign. Since then, the world has succeeded, but coal as the main resource is finished, and Frostpunk 2 gameplay will be fully focused on oil. "The apocalyptic world has evolved," the announcement continues. "After the era of coal, the conquest of Frostland for the oil extraction industry should be the new salvation of what remains of humanity. »

Stokalski refused to discuss more details on Frostpunk 2's actual gameplay, whether or not the planet's game version will continue to cool or if the climate will finally recover and warm up. Although "cities have survived," says Frostpunk 2 the general theme will be "not all beds of roses".

"I would say that the tone will be somewhat different from the original," added Stokalski. The new era of oil will be an important factor in the following, but the "ultimate hero and anti-hero remains the company". Obviously, it was clearly stated that Frostpunk 2 will always be the survival game in society for which the original is known, but it will be "interpreted in a different way from the original".

For the moment, an exit date of Frostpunk 2 remains unknown, but it has been established that it is still early enough in development.
