Niantic promises changes to Pokemon Go based on pandemic worries
Niantic launched Pokemon Go for the first time in 2016 and took the world of assault, bringing millions of people around the world to gather in the most random locations looking for legendary, nostalgic and cool Pokémon. The game is available on iOS and Android. Unfortunately, by the very nature of the game, Pokemon Go has been delayed by the Pandemic of Covid-19. As a result, Niantic had to make significant changes following the returns of his fans.
Recently, Niantic has made the decision to reduce the radius or function of social distancing of the game in New Zealand and the United States of America. The company would have made the decision on the basis of the struggle of the two countries against Covid-19 and the rise in vaccinations. However, the result was that many players should gather, and the United States, with a recent recrudescence of cases, this has become a health problem.
In response to comments on change, Niantic has indicated the reason for its decision as follows: _ "Recent exploration bonus changes we've brought in the United States and New Zealand are designed to restore some of the fundamental elements whose players enjoyed before 2020 and reward players again for their travels and explorations. Encourage people to explore, exercise and play together safely remains the mission of Niantic._
The company noted the impact of the virus and the change in the interaction distance of 80 meters to 40 meters. In response, the company brought together an interfunctional team to develop proposals to keep people inspired by exploring, while addressing concerns about the interaction distance. The discoveries of the team will be shared during the next season of the game from September 1st.
