Discover the recent teaser of Nightdive Studios for the remake of System Shock
Every month or two, Nightdive Studios gives fans an update on their next remake of System Shock. The original of 1994 is considered a pioneer of many sci-fi games / horror / shooting that we appreciate today, so fans are naturally interested in the way the remake takes place. On June 30, Nightdive showed us some conceptual illustrations for enemies and machines next to their counterparts and rendered from the game, but a few days later, we had a gameplay trailer in the whole in the search box of the game. For those who have not played the demo, you can check what awaits you.
The veteran players of the original System Shock recognize from the start some familiar elements. The updated HUD always has the same aspects, such as health and energy meters, the vital signs of the player and the mini-card. The inventory has been simplified in a keyboard shortcut bar and grid space, like what we see in some Resident Evil games. As in the original, the map reveals more roads and parts as and as the player explores. We see many obscure rooms and explored maintenance tunnels, as well as several different types of enemies that the player will meet, both biologically and mechanical.
This gameplay teaser has more than 7 minutes of exploration and combat. Let's hope that the fans will soon be able to get their hands on the game. There is no official release date for the game, but Nightdive Studios aims for a summer exit date for System Shock Remake for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
