NBA News: Trade unlikely
John Wall continues at the Houston Rockets under contract, but is currently not part of the active squad. According to ESPN, nothing will change during the season.
Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Rockets continue to have no plans to use the 31-year-old. Both sides had agreed on the beginning of the season to look for a possible trade, as in Houston the development of young Guards Kevin Porter Jr. and Galen Green is in the foreground.
However, the problem is that Wall is still $92 million in the next two years — a trade is hardly feasible. It is becoming increasingly more likely that Wall will not play a team this season, says Wojnarowski. The cost of his contract is currently simply restrictive.
Theoretically, there is the possibility that the Rockets Wall buys out of his contract, in this case he could sign a new deal with each interested team. However, the Point Guard would have to do without money, which has previously unlikely to appear.

Wall came from the Washington Wizards, Houston separated from Russell Westbrook before the past season. In the past season, the No.1-pick from 2010, which was previously injured for a long time, ran in 40 games for Houston and came to 20.6 points and 6.9 assists.
